What expansion should i buy? - Guild Wars Forums

Hi i just registered to the forums but i have been visiting the site for a while. I was wondering as a PvP only kinda guy. What expansion should i buy with 40$? Should i but the PvP access and Item expansion? It sounds like the best for me. I dont want to PvE at all. I have World of Warcraft for that. But do i actualy benefit from the PvP item one after i get the PvP access. By the way if you didnt know all this stuff is in the online store in Guild Wars.

Well, there is a sticky up in the forum that kinda give you a general run down for each campaign and their focus on the game component. The sticky can be found here:

The item expansion pack basically enables the use of certain item for PvP, the same with the Skill pack. It unlocks skills for your char so that you can use it in PvP.

Also, know that when you buy the game, you will have access to PvE area as well (as long as you create a PvE char and its respective to the campaign that you buy). Just FYI, in case you wanna give PvE a try.

Yes but they dont say much about the PvP access. And the PvP access allows me to play any class i want as long as its only a PvP only character.

PvE allows you to play any class as well.

FOR PVP - But for some classes, you have to have certain chapters as well. Assassin and Ritualist and exclusive to Factions, and Paragon and Dervish are exclusive to Nightfall.

With the original game, you can only play the original professions. If you want to play the others, you have to buy those games.

You guys have no idea what i am saying. I said FOR PVP i dont want to PvE like i said. PvP Access kit allows me to play all of the classes with only buying it for 20$ when it would cause 120$ to get all the expansions and 80$ to get just the classes. Also i can pay 10$ extra and get all the items for PvP and the access kit which means i will have most of the skills so thats 30$. 10$ less than getting just 1 expansion.

See my original post. And buy the unlock packs. If you only want to PvP, that's the way to go.

Well its obvious that you just want to PvP so why wouldnt you just get the PvP packs? Working a PvE character to make it competitive/capable in PvP would take massive amounts of time playing PvE, which you say you dont want to do.
